Lorita B. Williams

Lorita B. Williams is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Non-Profit Management. She is the CEO and Founder of Accelerated College Experiences Inc. Accelerated College Experiences (ACE) uses research-based skills and educational strategies that lead students to social and academic success. ACE coaches and trainers empower students to own their academic development. Students set high standards of personal and academic excellence as evidenced by graduating with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4-point scale. They learn how to use these and similar high standards to set and execute achievable goals throughout their academic careers and beyond. To date, the results of the ACE methodology are impressive with over 80% of students achieving a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Lorita has leveraged three decades of corporate leadership into leadership in the non-profit arena. Over the past twelve years she has served in the roles of associate vice president at Simmons College, vice president at Roxbury Community College and as executive director of three youth serving organizations. Her combined experience in the corporate and non-profit sectors uniquely prepared her to found and lead an organization that has achieved demonstrated results. A member of the National Association of Professional Women, Lorita maintains affiliations with the Development Board for Boston’s Children’s Chorus, The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Third Sector New England (TSNE) and she is a Trustee for Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Lorita leads by example, demonstrating that learning and development is a lifelong process that every individual can create as a rewarding reality within his or her lives. In her own life circumstances, she worked full-time while earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University. This required unwavering commitment for her own future, building a plan that would work for her, gathering support and sustaining persistence over a 10 year period. Out of this successful experience, the seeds of the ACE methodology were sown. Today, Lorita is completing her Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management from Southern New Hampshire University –as part of her own plan for achieving and enjoying academic excellence. Looking towards the future, Lorita would like to make a bigger impact on youth and expand Accelerated College Experiences to empower more students of color across the nation.
