 Rev. Daphne B. Grimes is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Non-Profit Organization.

Daphne is the Founder of Thomas the Apostle Center. Promoting spiritual, physical and intellectual growth in a quiet, comforting and reflective setting, Thomas the Apostle Center is an ecumenical, interfaith retreat center for individuals and groups alike. Having been active in the industry since the 1980s, Rev. Grimes has devoted her career to helping people. The Thomas the Apostle Center is an ecumenical retreat center that sits on 300 acres of land. Prior to its creation, the land previously served as a part of her family’s ranch. With her expertise in education, religion, spirituality and organizational management, Rev. Grimes has helped countless people throughout the course of her fulfilling career. Noting God as her main inspiration, Rev. Grimes has been lucky enough to have traveled across the world and has touched the lives of people from all walks of life.

 

In addition to her spiritual work, Rev. Grimes is also a professional artist and published poet. A Former Spiritual Advisor for Community of Celebration, Rev. Grimes is a member of the Compass Rose Society and several ecological organizations. Following receipt of her Bachelor’s degree in Drama from the University of Houston, Rev. Grimes went on to complete her Master’s degree in English at Columbia University as well as a Master’s degree in Religion from Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest.
