Brenda Hutcheson Fickey

 Brenda Hutcheson Fickey is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Writing.

Brenda is an Author, Professor and Public Speaker. She is the Owner of The Reluctant Reader’s Friend. In the industry since 2000, Brenda is a seasoned writer who writes historical fiction, mystery and suspense novels for adults, children and families alike. With her expertise in English and Language Arts and working with children, Brenda’s dual role as a teacher and writer go hand in hand.

 In addition to her writing career, Brenda is an Adjunct Professor and English/Writing teacher at Camden Fairview High School through Southern Arkansas University Tech. The author of “Whispering Darkness,” “Echoing Silence,” “Beckoning Shadows,” “Kidnapped Justice,” and “Stolen Summer,” Brenda has consecutively received five-star ratings from her readers.

 

Outside of work, Brenda enjoys yard work, quality family time and playing piano, organ and keyboard in her free time. She is also an active member of Cullendale First Baptist Church. Reflecting on her studies, Brenda attained her Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Language Arts from the University of Alaska at Anchorage as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education-English and History from East Texas Baptist College.
