Simone Yehuda

  Simone Yehuda is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Writing. Simone is a Screenwriter.

 

 Amassing over 30 years’ experience as a playwright, Simone has been in this current role for five years. A screenwriter, her areas of expertise include creative writing, editing, literature, higher education, poetry, playwriting, screenwriting and teaching. In addition to her screenwriting career, Simone was also a Professor of English at Siena Heights University from 1973-2011. A member of the American Theater Association, Dramatists Guild and Screenwriters Guild, Simone’s most recent works include: “The New Eve,” “Love and Homicide.” “Willing,” “Matadora” and “Jerusalem Road.”

She has been involved in the production of various short and feature films as well. Furthermore, Simone is the recipient of the Michigan Council for the Arts Artist Apprenticeship Awards, (1982, 1983) Michigan Council for the Arts Creative Artist Award, (1983) Artist Residencies at the Ragdale Foundation, (Lake Forest, IL, 2007) and recipient of the esteemed Erik A. Takulan Memorial Endowed Fellowship in 2008.

Heavily knowledgeable in the industry, Simone holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and Creative Writing from The Union Institute following her Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from Columbia University. She initially began her educational career with a Bachelor’s degree in American Literature at Bennington College.
