Violetta A. Diamond

Continental Who’s Who recognizes Violetta A. Diamond as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in acknowledgement of her contributions to the fields of labor, spiritual counseling and education. Diamond is dedicating her individual efforts to her recently acquired role of President of Exodus Bible Institute that offers online lecture courses where students can earn a Diploma, a Master Teacher Certification, or an Associate in Biblical Studies from Trinity College of the Bible. Future goals include assembling a team to build Exodus Empowerment Services, which is a company whose mission is to educate and empower individuals in all areas of life. In addition to her work with Exodus Bible Institute, Diamond is employed with the American Postal Workers Union (APWU), where she serves as executive assistant to the vicepresident.

She arrived to that status as after being a member of the insurgent “Member’s First” political slate that made history in 2013. The APWU represents more than 200,000 USPS employees and retirees, and nearly 2,000 private-sector workers. Beginning her career at the lowest level in the clerk craft and being successful in twelve consecutive local elections as Secretary-Treasurer, Diamond has been committed to APWU’s objective of securing through collective bargaining and legislative efforts a safe and healthy work environment, better working conditions and a better standard of living for the members of the APWU and their families. He aim has been captured in her slogan “Serving the membership with the excellence that is deserved.” Diamond’s calling merges and expands these objectives to a wider demographic with a more holistic approach. Despite enduring consistent struggles and tragedies, Diamond remains strong in her faith, positive and dedicated to personal growth.

Ms. Diamond is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications at Grand Canyon University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Counseling from Trinity College of the Bible and completed her paralegal certification from Sawyer College. She is a licensed Life & Health Insurance Agent. To further her professional development, Diamond is a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, the Coalition of Labor Union Women, the NAACP, and Lambda Phi Eta, Inc. Diamond gives her time to several organizations; she teaches Sunday school at Uplift, served as an Elder, Youth Director, and Safe Church Advisory Committee member with the Christian Reformed Church of North America, and is a DC Labor Chorus volunteer. She became a member of the Heritage Registry of Who’s Who beginning in 2005, and is a lifetime member of the Continental Who’s Who beginning in 2007. Diamond attributes her success to the effort of her mother, who graduated from Tuskegee University and taught the visually impaired for over 30 years. She is a widow, devoted to her children, and contributing to the success of future generations. Her hope is to enrich the lives of everyone she meets.
