The Rev. Dr. Mary NewbernWilliams

 

The Rev. Dr. Mary Newbern-Williams is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her outstanding contributions to Ministry and Clergy. Dr. Newbern-Williams serves as the Presbyter for Congregational Vitality at the Presbytery of Missouri River Valley, which is a Presbyterian Congregation serving the Omaha, Nebraska area.

Her role involves providing resources for the congregation, and she brings two and a half decades of industry experience to her role with Missouri River Presbytery – which consists of 48 Presbyterian Congregations, one Arabic Fellowship and one Sudanese Fellowship in the areas of greater Omaha and Southwestern Iowa. “The role of the Presbytery of Missouri River Valley is, with God’s help, to equip ourselves as the Body of Christ, proclaiming and living the gospel in our various communities,” according to the congregation’s website. “On a daily basis, I lend, serve and work with others to create, develop, enhance and empower congregations to grow, operate at optimum levels and remain excellent partners in ministry with the surrounding community,” Dr. Newbern-Williams said.

Throughout the course of her education and training, Dr. Newbern-Williams earned her Master of Arts degree and Master’s degree of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. In addition, she also attained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin-Wallace University. To further her professional development, she is a member of the Advisory Council of the Presbyterian Seminary Foundation and the Presbytery Executive Forum. To honor her outstanding work in ministry, Dr NewbernWilliams is the recipient of both a Humanitarian Award and an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.
