Nancy K. Roberts

 

Continental Who’s Who recognizes Nancy K. Roberts as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the field of Logistics. Roberts is a 25+ year veteran of the logistics Industry. According to her company’s website, she “has worked in almost every are of the trucking and brokerage business.” Just a few areas of her expertise include customer service, management and dispatch for both logistics and transportation services. “Before launching WTF Logistics Inc./Candid Express, Inc., Nancy assisted and helped grow a small fleet of drivers into a strong competitive base that serviced many high profile, just in time delivery customers with an on-time percentage of 98.9,” her employer bio reads.

“As a customer service representative for both the asset and logistics side, [she] knows the value of timely communications between the drivers, carriers and most importantly, the customer.” She has been part of the industry since 1985, and enjoys “the fast pace the industry requires of you and the challenges of putting the puzzle together.” Roberts’ strong work ethic has led to several business accomplishments. “Her resume includes developing and maintaining rewarding relationships with several large clients including Pepsi/Pepsico, Custom Building Products, Amcor PET products, just to name a few,” her employer bio reads. Roberts also worked to have WTF Logistics and Candid Express certified with the National Woman’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Most notably, she was published in Women of Distinction Magazine last year. Additionally, Roberts’ logistics business; WTF Logistics, was honored by the Indiana Small Business Administration as Business of The Year for Hendricks County, Brownsburg, IN in 2013. “I oversee all operations on a daily basis,” Roberts said. “I handle all of the accounting and safety requirements.” With a working philosophy of “Wish it, Dream it, Do it,”

Roberts describes herself as “a strong woman who strives for excellence, a great communicator and someone who is always there for those who need me.” Her “family and faith are what keep [her] going.” “I would like to think that I reached someone in the world with my story of how I got to where I am and helped them that they too can wish it, dream it, do it.” Roberts maintains relationships with the American Legion Auxiliary and the National Association of Professional Women. She also volunteers her time for events hosted for Agape Families and donates each year for a child to Shop with a Cop at Christmas and for back to school. At the age of 18, Roberts met her professional mentor, Chuck Pettit, whom she had the pleasure to work under at the first trucking company she worked at. She is also married to her husband Tim and they have four sons and one granddaughter.
