An associate of the Alabama Medical Society, throughout his career, Dr. Lodewick has served on the Diabetes Forecast Editorial Board as well as the Diabetes Self-Management Editorial Board. Having published several articles within the field of Diabetes, Dr. Lodewick is the Author of A Diabetic Doctor Looks at His Diabetes and Yours and Co-Author of The Diabetic Man. The novel, A Diabetic Doctor Looks at His Diabetes and Yours discusses Dr. Lodewick’s personal experience with Diabetes Mellitus. An empathetic perspective on Diabetes, he discusses how to “understand, cope, and live with Diabetes as well as addresses concerns such as blood glucose monitoring, diabetes pills, insulin, diet, exercise, and skin, foot, and dental care.” When he is not working, Dr. Lodewick enjoys tennis and running.
