David L. Carr-Locke

David L. Carr-Locke is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Featured Top Doctor in the field of Medicine in recognition of his role as Clinical Director for the Center for Advanced Digestive Care New York-Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center.
For more than 40 years, Dr. David L. Carr-Locke has been an international leader in the field of therapeutic endoscopy. Throughout the course of his illustrious career, Dr. Carr-Locke served as Director of the Endoscopy Institute at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Chief for the Division of Digestive Diseases and the Associate Chair of Medicine at Mount Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center and is now Clinical Director of the Center for Advanced Digestive Care at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Carr-Locke has attained extensive experience in the clinical applications of gastrointestinal endoscopy for diagnosis and therapy.
While pursuing his educational endeavors, Dr. Carr-Locke earned his medical degree from Cambridge University in England. 
Thereafter, Dr. Carr-Locke completed his residency at Kettering General Hospital and Leicester University Hospitals and his  senior residency at the University of Leicester. Dr. Carr-Locke completed a clinical research fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. 
To further enhance his professional development, Dr. Carr-Locke is an esteemed Fellow of several prominent organizations including the Royal College of Physicians of London, the American College of Gastroenterology, The American Society  for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, where he served as President, the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, where he served as President and the Governing Council of The New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
In recognition of his many professional accolades, Dr. Carr-Locke has been the recipient of several awards including the Rudolf Schindler Award, the highest award conferred by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Carr-Locke has been listed in New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors” annual list since 2010 and on Castle Connelly’s America’s Top Doctors since 2000.
A respected lecturer and scholar who has authored more than  400 published papers, articles and book chapters, many of which have influenced the practice of endoscopy, Dr. Carr-Locke is sought after for his extensive knowledge in the field. 
When he is not working, Dr. Carr-Locke enjoys classical music and playing classical guitar.
