Originally from Romania, Dr. Voinov and her family immigrated to Canada at age 10 to flee the Communist regime. Upon graduation, Dr. Voinov returned to her country of origin to attend medical school at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, earning her degree in 1990. Dr. Voinov took a 17-year hiatus from medicine to raise her three children. Dr. Voinov went on to complete her internship in 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, MI, and subsequently a fellowship at McLaren Regional Medical Center in 2009. Dr. Voinov is a Member of the American Board of Family Medicine.
Receiving many accolades for her work as a family practitioner, Dr. Voinov has been awarded the Biopsychosocial Model and Family-Centered Care Award and the McLaren Family Practice Residency Program’s Employee of the Year Award. She was also named Top 25 Family Practitioner in 2014.
In her free time, Dr. Voinov enjoys fitness, concerts and all types of music.
