Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) with subspecialty certifications in Geriatric Medicine and Sports Medicine, Dr. Evans dedication to his field is unsurpassed. Serving 40 years as a healthcare professional and 7 years in his current position, Dr. Evans possesses elite medical expertise, specializing in family medicine, geriatrics, sports medicine and palliative care. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practitioners and uniquely a member of University at Sea, giving him the opportunity to teach Doctors and Nurses aboard a cruise ship. Well revered in his field, Dr. Evans published Exercise Testing for Primary Care and Sports Medicine Physicians, a practical book utilized by primary care physicians detailing an exercise stress aimed at determining a patient’s risk of developing coronary heart disease. Devoted to the advancement of his field, Dr. Evans taught residents at Florida Hospital East Orlando for 7 years and continues to teach future practitioners when he is not caring for his patients.

Dr. Evans graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1976. He then went on to complete a residency at the University Of Missouri School of Medicine. Furthering his training, Dr. Evans enrolled in the Loma Linda University School of Public Health and obtained a Master of Public Health in 1992.
In his free time, Dr. Evans founded the “T.I. Butt Patrol”, an organization dedicated to keeping the beaches of Treasure Island cigarette and trash free.
