They offer a full spectrum of services, including annual gynecological exams, contraception, family planning, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and treatment for high-risk patients that have gestational diabetes, hypertension, or preterm labor. The team is comprised of Dr. Pemberton and highly-trained midwives, who work tirelessly to ensure quality patient care and a comfortable, refreshing environment.

Backed by over twelve years of experience, Dr. Pemberton has leveraged herself as a consummate physician. Her areas of expertise include obstetrics, reproductive endocrinology, ovarian pathology, and benign adult and adolescent gynecology. She is adept at general laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic surgeries such as myomectomies and hysterectomies. She performs various office procedures, including endometrial ablation, cryosurgery, colposcopy, and cone biopsy.

A native of New York, Dr. Pemberton traveled south for undergraduate studies. She attended the University of Miami where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. She relocated to the West Indies for higher education, attending the number one medical school in Grenada. After she received a Doctorate of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine, she completed clinical rotations in England and a neuroscience selective in the Czech Republic. She then completed an OB/GYN residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and received board certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Pemberton remains aware of changes in her field by being affiliated with prominent organizations such as the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Outside of work, Dr. Pemberton enjoys tennis and spending time with her family. She has three children: Theodore, Nya, and Ryley. A noted humanitarian, she is charitable to Autism Speaks and the Maternal Health Child Symposium.

Dr. Pemberton dedicates this recognition to her sister Najuma, husband Kemonte Howard, mother-in-law Annette, and in loving memory of Lorna and mentor Dr. Michael Pitter.
