Randall F. Dryer, MD, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever for his outstanding work as a Spine Surgeon at Central Texas Spine Institute.
Located in the Valleyside Place neighborhood, Central Texas Spine Institute is a private medical office offering comprehensive spine care to all of the Central Texas communities. The office renders diagnostic services, conservative treatment modalities, and spine surgery. A leader in stem cell therapies, Dr. Dryer specializes in diagnosing and treating degenerative conditions of the spine. He is renowned for his thirty-seven years in practice and recognized as a leader in the medical field. On account of his expertise, Becker’s Spine has rated him as a top 100 surgeon. After medical school, he served in the United States Air Force at Wilford Hall, Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX. By the year of his discharge, he was serving as a staff orthopedist to the chief of orthopedic surgery.
An academic scholar, Dr. Dryer received a Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of Iowa in 1974. He remained at the university, completing a Doctorate of Medicine in 1977, an internship in 1978, and a residency in orthopedic surgery in 1982. The next year, the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery awarded him board certification. He was then accepted for a fellowship in spine and hand surgery at New Addenbrooks Hospital in Cambridge, England, completing training in 1984.
To further professional development, Dr. Dryer is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, Texas Orthopedic Association, North American Spine Society, Cervical Spine Research Society, Spine Arthroplasty Society, and Society of Lateral Access Surgery. Previously, he served as the president of the Texas Spine Society.
In light of a lifetime of accomplishments, Dr. Dryer has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. Most recently, he was named one of the top sixty spine surgeons on the forefront of biologics and stem cells.
When he is not at work, Dr. Dryer can be found playing tennis, practicing piano, and watching football.
