Mary Jo Wiemiller, PA-C, MS

Mary Jo Wiemiller, PA-C, M.S. is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the medical field as the Program Chair and Director & Physician Assistant at Marquette University.

Marquette University is a private Jesuit research university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ms. Mary Jo Wiemiller, a Clinical Associate Professor, began working in Education in 2008 at Marquette University and currently serves as the Program Director and Department Chair. With her leadership, organization and listening skills working with patients, Ms. Wiemiller can excel as a PA and help propel her unit forward and contribute to its national rankings and success, balancing her success with humor and humility.

In July of 2010, she started as the Program Director of the Marquette University Aurora Health Care Post Graduate Physician Assistant Program for Emergency Medicine. She has an emphasis on developing post-graduate Physician Assistant training in addition to entry-level Physician Assistant training. Also, she participates in promoting shared influence by serving on the University Health Care Task Force and the University Academic Senate. With her passion to teach and influence new PAs,

Ms. Wiemiller has also been instrumental in developing Interprofessional Education at the University.

In light of her career accomplishments, Ms. Mary Jo Wiemiller attended the University of Wisconsin Bacteriology, located Madison, WI, receiving her Bachelor of Science in 2001. Later she completed her physician assistant studies and earning her Masters of Science in PA at the Finch University of Health Sciences in 2003 working six years in Cardiothoracic Surgery and 11 years in the Emergency Department. To this day Ms. Wiemiller remains affiliated with the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Physician Assistant Education Association.

Outside of her professional responsibilities she loves to spend quality time with her family Coach Soccer and basketball for her kids. She loves to be active at her lake house with skiing, swimming, boating and attending Green Bay Packer football games as a family.

Ms. Mary Jo Wiemiller credits her success to her greatest professional inspiration, her father Wayne Matzke.
