Carl G. Meadows, Jr.,LCSW

Carl G. Meadows, Jr., LCSW is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Social Work as a result of his role as Therapist and Counselor with The Ole Sea Dawg, LLC. With nearly two decades of experience in Social Work,  Carl specializes in grief counseling for those suffering with both drug and alcohol issues, as well as counseling people who are battling disorders including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and more. His personal  experiences in which he suffered from PTSD, depression and anxiety after his combat experience during his time in the US Navy led him to become involved in this profession.

Carl applies his own experiences and vast knowledge to help those who are currently battling things he once overcame. Furthermore, Carl attributes his success to his faith in God, and is also a Certified Drug and Alcohol Specialist. He holds memberships with professional affiliations such as the National Association of Social Workers, National Mental Health Association as well as the Disabled Veterans Association. In his spare time, he enjoys sport parachuting, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and being in the outdoors. Looking into the future, Carl sees himself studying  gerontology as well as mentoring those with substance abuse problems and to conduct crisis interventions for teenagers who have suffered abuse. Reflecting on his educational career, Carl earned his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama.
