Richard Gimbl, Sr. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Consulting as a result of his role as President of Coastal Recovery Consultants, Inc. Coastal Recovery Consultants, Inc. is an emergency management consulting group. As President, Richard works closely with consulting for FEMA projects and mitigation, and grants for raising structures in flood plain areas. Richard has additional knowledge in the fields of structural engineering services, emergency management and hazmat, as well as developing contingency plans and disaster preparedness plans.
On the other hand, Richard holds a certification as a Home Land Security Certified Level II from the Board of Certification in Homeland Security, and has held previous positions as Director of Emergency Management at Emergency Management, Firefighter/Hazmat Specialist with the New York City Fire Department, as well as an Adjunct Instructor at the National Fire Academy. Richard has been recognized by the Long Island Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners as the Most Valuable Player on Long Island, and has been the recipient of the Council Good Deed Award in 2009, and the New York State Firefighter of the Year Award in 2006. Reflecting on his education, he attended Suffolk County Community College.
