Dr. Murthy S. Madhira, M.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Healthcare. Dr. Madhira is a Gastroenterologist at the Monroe Gastroenterology Clinic. Offering first class quality in the diagnosis and treatment  of Gastroenterology diseases, Monroe Gastroenterology Clinic strives to provide their patients with compassionate and quality care in a relaxed, comfortable and confidential environment.  In his current capacity, Dr. Madhira’s areas of specialization include all aspects of gastroenterology, diseases of the liver, pancreas, and GI tract including oncology and inflammation. He performs an array of endoscopic procedures such  as colonoscopies, flexible sigmoidoscopy, hemorrhoidal banding, EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy) and ERCP (retrograde cholangiopancreatography).

 

Moreover, Dr. Madhira also interprets small bowel capsule endoscopies and is double Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. In addition to his position at the clinic, Dr. Madhira holds staff privileges at St. Anne Hospital in Toledo, OH, Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe, MI, and Oakwood Southshore in Trenton, MI. Dr. Madhira maintains affiliation with the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association, and received a Humanitarian Service Award from Mercy Hospital for his volunteer services. Aside  from the demands of work, Dr. Madhira enjoys spending time with family and partaking in community service work. He offers free annual medical scanning camps for the  local community. Reflecting on his training and education, Dr. Madhira received his Medical degree from Rangaraya Medical College in India, as well as a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of Toledo.
