Mary Cochran is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Performing Arts as a result of her role as the Kinetic Artist and Healer/Founder with Soma Soup.
Soma Soup offers life coaching services in the areas of education and business advancement, social and personal development, and creativity coaching. Founder Mary Cochran has decades of experience in dance and creative exploration, and she channels her energies into working with each of her clients. Presently, Mary specializes in wellness, teaching, healing, creativity coaching, kinetic and spoken performing arts and improvisation, leadership, collaboration training, arts administration, choreography, theatre and more.
Throughout the past decade, she has worked at Barnard College and Mills College as an artistic director and professor of dance. In this capacity, Mary oversaw a department of over 2,000 students where she would support artists a variety of needs, arrange studio spacing, grant panels, and act as an outside reviewer. A member of the National Association of Professional Women, Mary was recognized as an NAPW VIP Woman of the Year. She was honored with praise for dancing at the Harvard Dance Center, and enjoys cooking, singing, and reading in her spare time. Additionally, Mary is heavily involved in community outreach, and she partakes in the Community Cleaning Brigade and enjoys teaching the healing power of movement to diverse communities.
