Lorena E. Beeman, RN, MS, CCVT, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Healthcare as a result of her role as Registered Nurse/Director of Cardiopulmonary Critical Care and Stimulation with The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is dedicated to ensure all populations in New Mexico have access to the highest quality health care, striving to provide all New Mexicans with a quality education and addressing the priority health needs of their local communities.

 

A seasoned nurse with over thirty years of experience, Lorena’s is responsible for the oversight of development and provision of educational opportunities from novice to expert levels as well as the development of educational simulations. Throughout the course of her illustrious career, Lorena was awarded as Professional of the Year in Cardiopulmonary and Critical Care Education in 2008 in addition to a Community Leadership Award from the American Red Cross in 1982. Lorena was also the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the local Association of Critical Care Nurses. To keep abreast with the latest advancements in healthcare, she maintains affiliation with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Society of Critical Care Medicine, International Simulation Group, and is the President Elect of her local chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.
