Kaaren G. Vargas

Kaaren G. Vargas, DDS, Ph.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Healthcare. Dr. Vargas is a Dentist at Corridor Kids Pediatric Dentistry. A seasoned dentist with over two decades of experience, Dr. Vargas’ areas of expertise include pediatric dentistry, healthcare management, restorative and sedation dentistry, orthodontics, public health and more.

 In this capacity, Dr. Vargas performs an array of dental procedures on children ranging from infants to age eighteen. Board Certified Pediatric Dentistry through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Vargas maintains affiliation with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, and the Iowa Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She is currently on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry, a Board member of the Iowa State Dental Board and is the Past President of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition to her thriving practice, Dr. Vargas was an Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Iowa from 1998 to 2007.

 

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and volunteer work. Dr. Vargas volunteers at the Iowa City Free Medical Clinic as well as St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church. Throughout the course of her collegiate career, Dr. Vargas attained her Ph.D. from the University of Iowa as well as her DDS in Dentistry from Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru.
