Michelle Onesto is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Financial Services. Michelle is the Chief Operating Officer of Pacific Southwest Financial. Headquartered in Woodland Hills, California with offices and partners in additional locations nationwide, PSF is an independent financial and insurance services consulting firm set up to offer a comprehensive spectrum of professional services for independent financial advisors, life agents, financial institutions, insurance companies, and stock brokerage firms. They rely on PSF to provide technical, consulting and support services. PSF’s philosophy is to allow the financial advisors and agents to spend the majority of their time in front of their clients, rather than handling the tedious, time consuming, daily clerical responsibilities. In addition, PSF assists them with practice management and succession planning among other things. Honing in on her thirteen years of experience working in the financial industry, Michelle’s areas of concentration include the oversight of daily operations, compliance, customer service, human resources, leadership, process improvement, project development and management, staff training, team building, corporate event planning and more. She currently works with a team of four fellow delegated principals in the supervision of thirty branches across the United States. It was only thirteen years ago when Michelle was hired as the Investment Assistant at her previous firm and has now worked her way up to her role as PSF’s Chief Operating Officer.
During her career, Michelle has attained a true sense of both business and finance and states her biggest mentor, the late CEO of PSF, Barry Litt, is responsible for her present and ongoing success. In addition, PSF’s Senior Vice President, Bob Eddy, was another person she felt played an important role during her career at PSF. She feels indebted to them for the opportunities they provided her and for believing in her success. They were not just business colleagues to Michelle, because she considered both of them family. A testament to her achievements, Michelle was recognized by the National Association of Professional Women as a 2015 VIP Woman of The Year. Outside of work, she finds time to enjoy art and dance. She was once a past acrobat/dancer in several big-time Las Vegas gymnastics performances alongside entertainers from Cirque du Soleil, the Moscow Circus, Olympic Gymnasts among others. In 2014, Michelle’s path took a detour from her everyday normal life and brought to light a hidden passion which is her artistic ability. She is so passionate about art, that she spent most of last year trying every technique that she had heard about at least once in order to discover which one she really enjoyed.
Her artwork consists of canvas paintings, personalized jewelry hangers and hat racks, indoor decorative chandeliers, jewelry, altered bottles, up cycling of various items found around home and more. She has a home based workshop where she spends most of her time during her off hours from PSF and has been selling her pieces at various Southern California art festivals through her newly established company, Altered Inspiration. Her online website (www.altered-inspiration.com) will be live in about a month so keep an eye out! Pacific Southwest Financial is actively growing and expanding, which is what Michelle wants to continue assisting with both internally and externally. She wants to continue making her former CEO proud of the firm he started back in 1997 and wants to see to it that his legacy lives on for years to come.
