Reginald W. Bennett is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Food and Drug Safety. Reginald is a Senior Policy Analyst with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Responsible for preserving public health and ensuring the efficacy, safety and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, food supplies, cosmetics, medical devices as well as products that emit radiation, the FDA inspects products and therefore publishes regulations for the overall safety of Americans. Attributing his success to his “dogged persistence and desire to add to food safety,” Reginald has maintained his sixty year career with the FDA with his incomparable knowledge and experiences in the areas of food science and safety, food microbiology, foodborne disease, microbiology, regulatory affairs and more. Before beginning his prominent career with the FDA, Reginald was a Professor of Foodborne Diseases at Benedict University and now holds adjunct teaching positions at Kansas State University, Howard University and the University of Puerto Rico.
The honoree of countless honors, grants and recognitions, Reginald’s expertise has been sought by many professionals across the globe. He has authored and co-authored over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters as well as presented in 14 countries for various conferences and meetings. With that being said, Reginald is an esteemed Fellow of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists International and American Academy of Microbiology and maintains affiliation with the Institute of Food Technologists, International Association for Food Protection and the American Society for Microbiology.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he received both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Microbiological Sciences and Immunology.
