Jan Blaser-Upchurch is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Government Administration. Jan is the Administrator of the Arizona Department of Corrections Office of Victim Services. Following the untimely passing of her late husband, Sgt. John Blaser in August of 1990, Jan decided to devote her future to assisting victims, individuals and families of those killed and injured in the line of duty. In the criminal justice arena since 1992, Jan has been in her current position for the past six years where she specializes in advocacy, crime prevention, community outreach, enforcement, public policy, and more.
A certified trainer for MADD, Concerns of Police Survivors and for the Arizona Coalition for Victim Services, Jan was recognized by the National Association of Professional Women as a VIP Woman of The Year and has received countless accolades throughout the course of her illustrious career. Jan has been the recipient of the FBI Community Service Award, MADD’s Dr. Andy Nichols Achievement Award, Arizona Trial Lawyers Association’s Exemplary Community Service Award and the Allstate Insurance Safety Leadership Award for Dedicated Community Service. In addition, her work with the government has helped her attain the following honors: Crime Prevention Council of Tucson: An Everyday Hero Award, Arizona Attorney General’s Distinguished Leadership Award and the Southern Arizona DUI Task Force Special Recognition Award.
