B. Kay Bontrager, LMHC, LCAC, ICAC-II, MAC, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of
Mental Health as a result of her role as Owner and Therapist of Recovery Connections of Michiana. Originally embarking on a career in nursing, Ms. Bontrager decided to switch paths and build a career helping individuals on a more holistic level. In 1999, she opened her office where she resides today and specializes in mental health counseling and additional recovery services.
A Certified Addictions Counselor, Ms. Bontrager’s areas of expertise include the following: behavioral health, case management, crisis intervention, counseling psychology, interventions, relapse prevention, treatment and more. To keep up with the latest advancements in the industry, Ms. Bontrager maintains affiliation with the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors, Indiana Association of Addiction Professionals and the National Association of Professional Women where she was recognized as a 2014 Professional Woman of The Year for her ongoing successes. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, cycling and music. Throughout the course of her education and training, Ms. Bontrager earned a dual BS in Psychology and MA in Pastoral Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary in addition to her RN degree and licensure from Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
