Doris C. Gundersen, MD

Doris C. Gundersen, M.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Mental Health. She serves as a Psychiatrist in private practice. In the industry for over two decades, Dr. Gundersen has been in practice for the past 17 years. Board Certified in Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry, her areas of expertise include general adult psychiatry as well as a specialty in forensic psychiatry. Specializing in diagnosis, evaluation and treatment, Dr. Gundersen conducts independent medical evaluations and provides forensic expertise in both criminal and civil arenas in addition to practice. She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado-Denver, where she teaches medical students, residents and forensic fellows. In recognition of her accomplishments in the field, Dr. Gundersen has been honored by Leading Physicians of the World, is an esteemed Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a member of the American Academy of Psychiatry and Law, the Colorado Psychiatric Society, the Colorado Medical Society and the Federation of State Physician Health Programs. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to Latin America and Europe, reading and movies. Dr. Gundersen graduated from the University of Texas-El Paso with her Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. She then went on to complete Medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
