James F. (Jim) Morgan

J ames F. (Jim) Morgan is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Legal Services. His professional title is Managing Partner at Morgan, Herring, Morgan, Green & Rosenblutt, LLP. Founded in 1942 by Jim’s father, James Virgil Morgan; Morgan, Herring, Morgan, Green & Rosenblutt, LLP, is a second generation law firm concentrating in an array of practice areas. Carrying a reputation of excellence, the firm delivers first-class representation and personalized counsel. An AV Preeminent rated attorney, Jim has been in the legal industry since 1969 and with the firm for over 30 years. After he completed law school, he was an integral asset to the state upon serving in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 1977 to 1983, as well as serving as President of the 181th Judicial District from 1995 to 1996. On a day-to-day basis, Jim utilizes his strong background and expertise in the following areas: criminal defense, corporate law, estate planning, personal injury, probate and social security; as well as trials, wills, zoning and governmental relations. A testament to his success, Jim and his wife Ann were presented for their Outstanding and Individual Community Service by flying the American Flag over the U.S. Capitol alongside Congressman Howard Coble on Columbus Day in 2014. Presently serving as the Chairman of the High Point Preservation Society and Welcome High Point, Jim remains an active member of the American Bar Association, High Point Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Trial Lawyers Association. He is the current President of the North Carolina Council of Bar, Chairman of North Carolina State Bar and a member of Phi Alpha Delta. Outside of work, Jim enjoys shag and beach dancing. He is a 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite and a Shriner. Starting his educational career by earning his undergraduate degree from Guilford College, Jim went on to follow in his father’s footsteps after attaining his JD from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
