Dr. Miller serves as a Pediatrician at Elliot Hospital. He brings over 17 years of career experience, as well as expertise in pediatric critical care and emergency medicine, to his role. In addition to his work in practice, Dr. Miller serves as an instructor at Dartmouth Medical School. “Established in 1890, Elliot Hospital offers Southern New Hampshire communities caring, compassionate and professional patient service regardless of race, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, marital status, sexual preference, or ability to pay,” the hospital’s website states. “I was inspired by my childhood pediatrician,” Dr. Miller said. “I now pride my success on loving the practice of medicine.”
Dr. Miller earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Albany. He then went on to complete his Medical degree from New York Medical College. Dr. Miller is also Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, and Board certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. After earning his Medical degree, Dr. Miller completed both his residency and fellowship at Schneider’s Children’s Hospital at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital (now Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York).
To further his professional development, Dr. Miller is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics; the Society of Critical Care Medicine; the American College of Chest Physicians; the Pediatric Critical Care Collaborative Council; Code Blue Committee; Pedi Med Safety Committee; Pedi PI/Quality Committee and the Pediatric Leadership Committee at New Hampshire’s Hospital for Children. When not working, Dr. Miller enjoys biking with his two daughters. His advice to young pediatricians entering the field is to “view the patient and family as an entire unit.” Dr. Miller dedicates this recognition to his mentor and childhood pediatrician, Milton Gordan, M.D.
