Gary W. Jay, M.D., FAAPM, FACFEI, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of

Dr. Jay is the Chief Medical Officer for Advise Clinical, LLC. Advise Clinical is a CRO and strategic advisory organization that works with the drug industry as well as academic and government agencies in the areas of drug development, CMC, regulatory, and the commercialization of medical products. Dr. Jay has worked in his position for two years. An expert in clinical development and trials, Dr. Jay specializes in drug development, pharmaceuticals, pain management, medical education and neurology. He is also considered one of the first physicians to advocate for pain medicine qualifying as a sub-specialty for all physicians. “As Chief Medical Officer, I interact strategically and clinically with each sponsor, helping them to achieve the best outcome possible,” Dr. Jay said. “I work very closely with the head of Regulatory, and I also do Medical Affairs.”
In addition to his work with Advise Clinical, Dr. Jay serves as the CEO of Virtuous Pharma, Inc., where he is responsible for leading the development of late-stage pharmaceutical treatments. During his first 25 years of practice, Dr. Jay ran a tertiary care interdisciplinary pain/headache and minor traumatic brain injury rehabilitation center. To further his professional development, he has served as President of the Florida Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Academy of Pain Management, the Eastern Pain Association and was a member of the Board of Directors of the American Association for the Study of Headache.
Dr. Jay is Board certified in Neurorehabilitation, Pain Medicine and Forensic Medicine. He is also the esteemed author of over 140 peer-reviewed articles, 12 various book chapters and five textbooks. Additional accomplishments include recognition as a Founding Member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine and the American Academy of Pain Management. A graduate of the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, Dr. Jay completed his residency in Neurology. He initially began his education and training with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiological Psychology from Franklin and Marshall College. When not working, Dr. Jay enjoys writing novels.
