Jeanie S. Almo

 Jeanie S. Almo is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the field of Mental Health.

Almo’s professional title is Founder and Director at Fairmount Associates, LLC, which specializes in counseling. She brings over 30 years of experience working in both private practice and as program director, as well as expertise in behavioral health; child development; family therapy; individual, group and marriage counseling; hypnotherapy; psychotherapy; psychiatric nursing; and motivational speaking and coaching, to her role. “My main interest is in the field of individual, relationship, family counseling, and parenting issues, and the spectrum of life issues that impact them including: separation and divorce; chronic or terminal illness, grief or loss; physical disfigurement, abuse or domestic violence; and family members dealing with substance abuse, families dealing with special needs children,” Almo said on the practice’s website.

 Almo earned her Bachelor of Nursing Science degree in Nursing and Psychology from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She then went on to complete her gree in Sp Cities Studies from Northeastern Illinois University, as well as a Master of Nursing Science degree in Psychiatric – Community Mental Health Nursing/Child and Family Counseling from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. In addition to her degrees, Almo holds numerous certifications in the field, including: Registered and Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner by the International Association for Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Services; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certificate from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine; Certified Hypnotherapist by the National Guild of Hypnotists; Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor by Villanova University; and Certified Family Therapist by the Nathan Ackerman Institute of New York City — Bristol, Connecticut Annex.

 

To further her professional development, Almo established the Fairmount Area Business Association. When not working, Almo enjoys reading, painting and singing.
