Beth I. Kalish

 Beth I. Kalish, Ph.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Mental Health.

Dr. Kalish is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst in private practice. An esteemed healthcare professional, Dr. Kalish has been in the mental health field for 56 years. For decades, she has worked with clients in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of various conditions and disorders. With that being said, Dr. Kalish’s areas of concentration include anxiety and depression, behavioral health, counseling psychology, eating disorders, family therapy and marital issues as well as all facets of psychology and psychoanalysis.

She has published many articles on her clinical work with children and adults. The 2007 recipient of the Alumnae Citation for Achievement Award from Sarah Lawrence College, Dr. Kalish served as president of the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies and was a President/Founder of th American Dance Therapy Association. In October, 2016, she was honored with ADTA’s “Lifetime Achievement Award”. She is a respected member of the American Psychological Association, Division 39; American Psychoanalytic Association and the International Psychoanalytic Association. She is also a Board Member for both the Confederation of Independent Psychoanalytic Societies and International Psychoanalytic Association.

 

 Additionally, Dr. Kalish maintains affiliation with the Southern Poverty Law Center, Pachamama Alliance, Doctors Without Borders and Habitat For Humanity. Outside of practice, Dr. Kalish enjoys traveling, reading and writing. Throughout the course of her studies, Dr. Kalish earned her Psy.D., in Psychoanalysis and Ph.D., Psychology and Child Development from Bryn Mawr College.
