Kathy J. Kolich

Kathy J. Kolich is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a 2017 Professional of the Year in the field of Consulting. Kathy is the President and CEO of K2 Energy Advisors, LLC. Having a career in law spanning over three decades, Kathy recently retired from her position as a Senior Attorney with FirstEnergy.

Now that she is sending her son off to college and has more time to herself, Kathy has embarked on a new career move; her focus will now be on the jumpstart of her law practice and a consulting firm, K2 Energy Advisors, LLC. In regards to her successful career, her LinkedIn states that Kathy has, “successfully litigated energy efficiency cases in Ohio and Pennsylvania worth more than a half billion dollars and another smart meter implementation case in Pennsylvania worth more than $1.25 billion, obtaining a successful result in each case.” Specializing in the areas of corporate litigation, energy efficiency, utility regulation, renewable energy, smart grid technology, and utility pricing, Kathy serves on the boards of The Halo Foundation and the Buckeye State Bank.

 

In addition, she maintains affiliation with the Ohio and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, as well as the Ohio State University and OSU Marching Band Alumni associations. Reflecting on her collegiate career, Kathy earned both her Juris Doctor and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Summa Cum Laude) from the Ohio State University. Furthermore, Kathy is a member of the National Association of Professional Women where she was recognized as an NAPW VIP Woman of The Year. In her spare time, she enjoys golf, travel, and scuba diving. Her favorite places to go on vacation include; Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii, Maui, and New York.
