Ann M. Krause –Hanson

Ann M. Krause–Hanson is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a 2017 Woman of the Year in the field of Educational Services. Ann is the Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Innovation and Effectiveness at Waukesha County Technical College. Waukesha County Technical College are convinced that the key to creating a truly great learning organization is an intense focus on the values that guide their actions. With over 40 years of experience in education services, Ann specializes in educational leadership, reporting to the President, overseeing grants, institutional research, recruitment, marketing, strategic planning, and college accreditation, and presides over all work force development strategies to meet the needs of admissions, mentoring and relationship building. Ann began her career teaching mathematics at the K-12 level for 16 years before transitioning to administrative roles. She attributes much of her professional success to the mentorship and opportunities given by those around her.

In addition, Ann holds a lifetime certification in mathematics for grades 7-12, certification in vocational mathematics, and is a certified instructional supervisor. She is a member of multiple programs such as Chair Academy, AZ, President of Wisconsin Women in Higher Education Leadership, was the Past President of the Wisconsin Association for Career and Technical Education, Past National Awards Chair of the Association for Career and Technical Education; and was the Former President of the Blackhawk Association for Career and Technical Education Ann has been honored with several awards throughout the course of her illustrious career as well. In 2017, she was honored with the Idahlynn Karre Exemplary Leader Award from the International Chair Academy. In 2012, she was the recipient of the Chair Academy Presidents Award from WACTE. In 2008, she was distinguished with the Region III Award of Merit from ACTE. In 2007 and 2008, she was a Nominee for the Region 3 Outstanding Educator of the Year award from ACTE. In 2006-2007, she was recognized as the Outstanding Administrator of the Year through BACTE. In 2007 and 2001, she was acknowledged as the Outstanding Administrator of the Year through WACTE.

 

She has received numerous other awards and accolades Ann earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Education in Professional Development from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
