Beven Pace Livingston, Ph.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her
work in the field of Higher Education. Dr. Livingston serves as an Associate Professor at the University of North Florida. Amassing over 13 years of experience within the field of higher education, Dr. Livingston specializes in all aspects of physical therapy. “I decided to pursue a career in higher education to broaden my horizons in being the best at teaching the next generation,” Dr. Livingston said. “I want to serve as an advocate in healthcare and be remembered in my career for providing caring, compassionate healthcare.”
Throughout the course of her educational career, Dr. Livingtson earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Transylvania University, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotions from the University of Kentucky as well as a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Emory University.
To further her professional development, Dr. Livingston is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainers Association, the American College of Sports Medicine and the Society for Neuroscience. Dr. Livingston has also contributed to a number of medical journals as well as chapters to books that will educate those studying to become physical therapists.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field, Dr. Livingston was awarded a grant while earning her doctoral degree, as a pre-doctoral trainee in the category of medical rehabilitation scientists. She was also named as a Scholar by Achievement Rewards for College Scientists, to Outstanding Young Women of America, to Omicron Delta Kappa and the Hollien Society and to the Transylvania University Athletic Hall of Fame.
