Kimberly K. Stanford is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the field of Home Healthcare. A Bridge for Independence’s mission, “is for our clients to live independently in their own environment,” as according to the company website. “We are locally owned, we are dedicated to assisting individuals who live in their own homes, assisted living facilities, alternate housing, nursing homes or are in a hospital stay.”

Owner at A Bridge for Independence, which provides in-home companion services for the elderly and for patients with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, Stanford is dedicated to offering her clients the quality care that they deserve. Amassing over 30 years of experience in the industry, Stanford was able to diversify the business into several areas including pet sitting, concierge services real estate and property management. “I am blessed to have a career that I love and one that helps others in need,” Stanford said. “I look forward to continued growth of the company and expanding into additional territories.”

Stanford earned an Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Nursing and Psychology, and became a Registered Nurse. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Cardinal Stritch University, took a few classes toward a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix and completed her Practical Nursing Diploma from Alexandra Technical College. As a result of her outstanding career accomplishments, Stanford was named 2009 Business Person of the Year by the Siesta Key Chamber.

 

A Bridge for Independence was named a 2009 and 2010 Finalist for Small Business of the Year also by the Siesta Key chamber and Rookie Business of the Year by the Longboat Key/Lido Key/St. Armands Chamber in 2009. Additionally, Stanford recently purchased a 6 bed Assisted Living Facility, “Croton Manor”, on November 21, 2016. Croton Manor is in Sarasota, Fl. Stanford’s advice to young professionals looking to enter the field is to “work toward your passion and decide what you ultimately want,” and to “have no fear.” When not working, Stanford enjoys boating, jet skiing and travel.
