Lisa Nelson is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Healthcare as a result of her role as Practice Administrator at Dermatology and Oculoplastic Consultants. The qualified and caring team at Dermatology and Oculoplastic Consultants offers a wide variety of needs for patients including: Laser treatment, non-surgical skin tightening and lifting, Botox, Sclerotherapy for Spider veins, Dermal Fillers, Latissee Eyelash Enhancement, Dermapen Advanced Micro Needling with PRP, Facial Waxing and Brow Tinting, Dermaplane, Blue Light, IPL, Isolaz, Mohs surgery and Ultheraphy.

The staff at Docs consists of two medical doctors, two physician assistants, a nurse practitioner and a medical aesthetician; along with a very quality staff of 18 members including an in-house certified lab tech. The practice is devoted to serving their clients and is “dedicated to delivering superior care within an attentive environment.” They provide superior comprehensive dermatological services to its clients. Amassing over three decades of experience in the medical field, Nelson has been involved in the major office billing, clean up and set up policy and procedures to get the office back on track over the past thirty years. Nelson has served in her current position as Practice Administrator for the past year.

With her extensive knowledge in Medical Billing, Coding, Accounting and Human Resources, she flourishes as Practice Administrator. A member of the National Association of Professional Women, Nelson prides her success on her determination and loyalty. Her advice to those entering the field is to keep current with industry changes and continued education is key. Throughout the course of her education, Nelson attended the University of GA where she received her Senior Certificate of Professional Human Resource. In addition, she attended the Medical College of GA where she is specialized as a Certified Professional Billing, Certified Professional Medial Auditor and Certified Professional Practice Administrator.

 

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family; her husband of 33 years, her daughter, son-in-law and three small grandchildren. Nelson enjoys giving back to charities in support of domestic violence, children and animal welfare. In addition, when she is not working, Nelson enjoys walking, the beach, gardening, going to car shows and shopping with her husband. Looking into the future, Nelson would like to help expand the practice cosmetic side and outreach to Sarasota in this area the office offers as well as continued work in the community. She hopes to pursue a career as an independent consultant in the medical field.
