Jeffrey S. Brackeen, M.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Medical field. Dr. Brackeen serves as a Dermatologist at The Skin Cancer Institute, which specializes in clinical dermatology services, specifically skin cancer treatment and prevention. He has worked in his current role for one year, and has been part of the medical field since 2000. “Our mission is to be a blessing for those we serve,” the Skin Cancer Institute’s website states. “To care for not only the skin, but to fully care for all who walk through our doorway in mind, body and spirit. Prior to starting his work at The Skin Cancer Institute, he served as a Flight Surgeon with the U.S. Navy and as a Pathologist for Covenant Health. In addition to his work in practice, he has served on a number of medical advisory boards for skin cancer tests and treatments. He is also involved in outreach work that teaches people how to prevent and detect skin cancer, and participates in numerous skin cancer screening programs each year. “My tireless work, genuine interest in the field and compassion for patients are the keys to my success,” Dr. Brackeen said. Dr. Brackeen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Biological Sciences from Abilene Christian University.
He then completed his Medical degree from Texas A&M University, and completed two dermatology residencies through Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center – the first in 2008, focusing on pathology, and the second in 2015, focusing on dermatology. To further his professional development, Dr. Brackeen is a member of numerous medical associations, including: the International Association of Health Care Professionals; Outreach for Prevention of Skin Cancer/Skin Cancer Screenings; Leading Physicians of the World; the American Academy of Dermatological Surgery; the American Cutaneous Oncology Society; the American Academy of Dermatology; the American Society for Mohs Surgery; the Skin Cancer Foundation; the Texas Medical Association; and the Texas Dermatological Society.
