Melanie Ann Bennett-Sims

Melanie Ann Bennett-Sims is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as an Outstanding Professional in the field of Ophthalmology as a result of her role as Ophthalmologist with CarlinVision. For over thirty five years, CarlinVision has built their practice and reputation on treating patients as individuals, and as their neighbors and friends. They are one of the few practices in the Atlanta area that offer not just one or two, but all of the options for patients who are tired of wearing glasses, and offer patients much more than regular eye examinations and prescriptions.

Offering the latest innovations in Ophthalmology, the practice offers their clients comprehensive eye care. In her current position, Sims focuses on all aspects of eye care, and her expertise corneal disease, glaucoma and ocular manifestations of systematic disease. Sims states her key to success is dedication and respect for her patients. Additionally, she is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, and Johns Hopkins fellowship trained Cornea Specialist. Sims is listed among the Leading Physicians of the World, Top Doctor in Ophthalmology, and an American Medical Women’s Association Janet M Glasgow Memorial Achievement recipient.

 

She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Throughout her education, Sims earned an M.D. from Morehouse School of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Spellman College. She completed her medical training at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, an internship at Shands Hospital in Florida and residency at the Georgetown University Hospital, Washington Hospital Center.
