William Douglas Mayer, M.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Medical field. Dr. Mayer serves as the Chief Medical Officer at St. Mary’s Healthcare. In addition to his work at St. Mary’s Healthcare, Dr. Mayer is a Senior Partner at Mayer and Cope Family Practice, specializing in geriatrics, gastrointestinal disorders and opioid dependency. Dr. Mayer earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the State University of New York at Albany, with a 3.7 GPA. He then went on to earn his Medical degree from Albany Medical College.
He is certified by both the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, as well as the American Board of Family Medicine. To further his professional development, Dr. Mayer is a member of the Innovative Healthcare Alliance of New York as well as the Alliance for Better Health Care.
