Eileen P. Magri, Ph.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the Healthcare field. As Vice President of Nursing at Winthrop University Hospital, Dr. Magri utilizes a number of areas of expertise including healthcare management, patient safety, critical care, clinical research and nursing education.
She brings over 30 years of nursing experience to her role, which she has worked for nearly two years. Dr. Magri’s job duties include utilizing her additional expertise in women’s health as well as children’s services. She is responsible for managing patient care units as well as the neonatal intensive care unit. Prior to filling her current role, Dr. Magri held a number of positions at Winthrop University Hospital – including Assistant Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing. She has also mentored many nursing graduate students over the course of her career. With her extensive knowledge and experience, Dr. Magri has contributed to two separate medical publications.
Making contributions in the scholarly world, Dr. Magri has authored articled titled Transforming a Care Delivery Model to Increase Breastfeeding and Helping Children BREATHE – Transforming Asthma Care through Patient Centered Management Protocols. Dr. Magri earned her Ph.D. in Nursing from Molloy College. To further her professional development, she is a member of the International Women’s Leadership Association. When not working, Dr. Magri devotes her time to her position on the Board of Directors for the curriculum advisory committee at Farmingdale State College.
