Doris J. Laidlaw is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Nursing field. With 25 years of field experience, Laidlaw serves as the Cystic Fibrosis Coordinator and works with patients at Children’s Rehabilitation Services. She has worked in her current position for the past nine months, and brings extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially cardiac neurology and pulmonary nursing, to her role.
“I attribute my success to my passion for children, my love of nursing, my drive to make a difference and continuing my education,” Laidlaw said. “DMG Children’s Rehabilitative Services (CRS) offers families a state-of-the-art facility within a friendly, professional environment,” the organization’s website states. “CRS is designed to present the unique ability to meet the health care requirements of special needs children by offering nearly all specialty and primary care in a single location.” Additionally, “The CRS clinic provides a full spectrum of pediatric specialty care and has doctors available to serve children from birth to age 21,” the organization’s website continues.
“Specialists from all spectrums within the local community provide services at CRS. Primary care and therapy can work directly with specialty care physicians to provide comprehensive medical care under one integrated electronic medical record.” Laidlaw earned her Master’s degree in Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research and Clinical Nursing from Grand Canyon University.
To further her professional development, she is a member of the International Nurses Association, Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, the NACDD and the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities. She has also been recognized by the Honor Society of Sigma Theta Tau. When not working, Laidlaw volunteers her time to Arizona Community Church. She also enjoys painting watercolors, gardening and spending time with family – especially her six grandchildren. Laidlaw dedicates this recognition to Sydney Peoples.
