Lolita Henley, RN, BSN, MSN/INF, CCDS

 

Lolita Henley, R.N., B.S.N., M.S.N./INF, CCDS is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the field of Nursing and Clinical Documentation. Henley serves as the Director of Clinical Documentation and Specialist for Cone Health Systems. Her expertise lies in the areas of patient care, health care, informatics project management and physician documentation. “My responsibilities include concurrent review of clinical documentation for accuracy, proof of medical necessity, severity of illness, risk of mortality and proper MSAssignment,” Henley said. “I am respected by team members, managers and physicians as a leader and subject matter expert.”

Prior to joining the team at Cone Health Systems, Henley held several positions at Forsyth Medical Center, including Clinical Shift Manager and Business System Analyst. Throughout the course of her education and training, Henley earned her Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and then went on to complete a Master of Nursing Science with a focus in Informatics Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, she is a Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist, fluent in conversational Spanish as well as English, and is currently learning to speak Mandarin Chinese.

To further her professional development, Henley is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, Toastmasters International, ACDIS, NC-ACDIS and the International Association for Healthcare Documentation. Her most recent professional accomplishment is her work on the CDI Education Training Module. Henley dedicates this recognition to the loving memory of her parents, Rosalyn Kay Johnson and Robert S. Johnson.
