Deana D. Kennedy, MBA is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Human Resources in recognition of her role as Lead Human Resources Specialist at the Environmental Protection Agency OIG
With a mission of protecting human health and the environment, the Environmental Protection Agency OIG works to ensure that American’s have clean air, land and water, all while imploring a national effort to “reduce environmental risk” based on the best available scientific information. Through the writing and implementation of nationally adherent regulations, the EPA OIG seeks out in informing individuals about their responsibility in protecting the environment by teaching them how to reduce how much energy and materials are being used, reusing what you can, and recycling the rest.
With over fifteen years of experience, Kennedy’s experience extends to serving in the Department of the Army as a Chief in the Military Personnel Division, Action Officer in Warrior Transition Command, and as a Deputy Director in Human Resources Directorate. Passionate about Veterans and Wounded Warrior, Kennedy has attained extensive experience as a Human Capital Specialist, in analyzing and presenting and developing strategies to increase leadership satisfaction ratings. In her current capacity, Kennedy develops OIG Human Capital Strategies that address workforce issues such as training and development as well as employee performance and grievance issues.
Kennedy attained her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Performance and Wellness from Saint Augustine’s University and her Master of Business Administration degree in Human Resources Management and Services from Strayer University.
