Marilyn Simon is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Legal Professionals. Marilyn is Counsel at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP in the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Practice Group.
Marilyn has four decades of experience representing and advising corporate and individual clients in all aspects of insolvency law, debtor and creditor law, bankruptcy law, and secured transactions.
Prior to her role with Tarter Kinsky & Drogin, Marilyn was the head of Marilyn Simon & Associates, a boutique law firm focused on providing bankruptcy related counsel to various corporate debtors and creditors as well as leading legal, banking, and accounting firms. In addition, she was previously a partner at Levin & Weintraub & Crames, one of the premiere boutique bankruptcy firms in the United States.
Additionally, Marilyn is a member of many prestigious professional organizations. These organizations include the Association of the Bar of the City of New York (Committee on Bankruptcy, 1983), New York County Lawyer's Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, CWW Member Profile and the New York Bankruptcy Lawyers Association (Board of Governors, 1990).
Furthermore, Marilyn has shared her vast knowledge of the Legal Profession with others through lectures at various educational and credit granting institutions, including Fordham University School of Law, St. John's University School of Law, the City of New York Bar Association, and the Middle Market Group for Chase Manhattan Bank.
Marilyn has been recognized by Super Lawyer, a publication of Thompson Reuters, as one of New York’s Super Lawyers every year since 2006. In 2010 she was named a Leading Lawyer by Continental Who’s Who.
Marilyn earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University, as well as her BA from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.
