Doris Roettger

Dr. Doris Roettger, Ph.D. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Professional of the Year among Educators as a result of 50 Years of Excellence in the field of Education. Doris is a Teacher and Director of Your Reading Connection, a company dedicated to Reading and Education Services.

In her current role, Doris specializes in Diagnosing Reading Difficulties; Teaching Students how to Learn; Assessment and Instruction for Elementary, Middle and High School Students with Moderate to Severe Reading Difficulties; Motivating Children to Develop their Interests in Books, Writing and Drama; Instructing Students in 1st through 12th Grade on Writing, and Reading Silently and Out Loud; as well as Working with Students on an Individual Basis.

In addition, Doris a member of the Lutheran Chorus of Hope; Iowa Reading Association; Central Iowa Reading Council; National Board for Professional Teaching Standards; Strathmore’s Who's Who; Story Tellers; as well the International Reading Association where she was the recipient of the Literacy Award, LEADER Special Interest Group in 2007.

Doris received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a Concentration in Reading Disabilities from The University of Iowa. In addition, Doris holds a Master's Degree from The University of Tennessee, as well as a Bachelor of Science in History from The University of Tennessee.
