Lisa Olver

Lisa Olver is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Safety Compliance as a result of 30 Years of Excellence. Lisa is the President of Kolo Holdings Ltd., a company dedicated to providing annual inspections and certification of all types of cranes and other material handling equipment. In her current role, Lisa specializes in writing CSA and ASME standards as well Alberta General Safety Regulations, Acts, Codes and Guidelines.

In addition, she provides audited and verified operator training for rigging, cranes and all other types of material handling equipment and she has authored Kolo’s Hoisting and Rigging Handbook and Safe Rigging and Mobile Crane Operation Manual. Furthermore, Lisa supplies site, training and equipment audits as well as tools for compliance and written safety protocols. Lisa earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and Metallurgy from Concordia University and is also certified as an Internal Auditor from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. 

As a result of her professional ism and dedication, Lisa is a valued member of both the Canadian Standards Association and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Lisa also is the Director of Safety for the Alberta Health and Safety, and is a CSA liaison to ASME, and is a member of EPAC of Plaza Entertainment in the United Kingdom. Additionally, as of June 2013, Lisa was inducted as a Chairperson for the CSA B167 Technical Committee. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys being outdoors, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. Her favorite vacation destination is Cancun, and she also enjoys reading Hoist Magazine to keep up with industry trends.
