Mr. Metz has served in his current capacity for 7 years.

With over 65 years of professional experience, Mr. Metz has gained valuable experience in the field of geology and mining engineering. His areas of expertise include geology, mining, non-ferrous mining and exploration.

Since the age of 14, Mr. Metz had a strong interest in science. He decided to pursue engineering studies at the Colorado School of Mines, earning a degree in 1955.

Active in his field, Mr. Metz serves as a member of the Society for Mining, American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers, Mining Foundation of the Southwest, Metallurgy and Exploration, Legion of Honor, and the Arizona Geological Society. He also donates to various charitable organizations.

In his spare time, Mr. Metz enjoys hunting, playing tennis, and participating in various fitness activities.

Mr. Metz dedicates his success in loving memory of his mentor and the Science Director for the Cleveland School District Grace Maddox and mentors from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History: Lois Wallen and Mr. and Mrs. Harold.
