Ilene Birkwood

I lene Birkwood is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Writing. She is the Founder, Author and Director of Ascendant Publishing. After getting her start in the publishing industry since 1990, Ilene has worked in her present capacity for five years. The author of What To Do About Emma, The Second Torpedo and Deadly Deception, Ilene specializes in both fiction and non-fiction writing, as well as all publishing and management needs. Prior to beginning her writing career, Ilene is noted as one of the first female managers at Hewlett Packard and held a position as the Director of Software Engineering for HP Laboratories. She was also the Vice President at Tandem Computers. In recognition of her career accomplishments, Ilene was named a VIP Woman of The Year by the National Association of Professional Women.
