Debra K. Garcia, R.N., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Nursing field. Garcia’s professional title is Registered Nurse ADM and CEO at Aria HomeHealth, Inc., which specializes in home healthcare. She founded the facility and company in 1998 and believes that “Great employees make a great company.” “Aria Home Health, Inc. is a locally owned and operated Medicare certified home care agency serving Dallas and the surrounding communities,” the facility’s website states. “Because we recognize that every patient's health care needs are unique, we work together with the physician, other members of the health care team, the patient and their families to create individual treatment plans. Ours is a service oriented agency, serving the physician as well as the patient. We have created a system that streamlines the referral process.” Garcia’s skills and areas of expertise include home care, marketing, nursing, team building, wound care, cardiac care, diabetic care, psychiatric nursing, Medicare, customer service, elder care, strategic planning, clinical research and HIPAA regulations. She earned her degree in Nursing, as well as her Registered Nurse designation, from the College of Santa Fe. To further her professional development, Garcia is a member of the Texas Association of Home Care and Home Health Line/ Decision Care; the National Association of Home Care and Hospice; the National Association of Professional Women; and the International Nurses Association. In recognition of the outstanding work of both Garcia and the staff of Aria HomeHealth, the facility “placed 52nd and was chosen based on increased growth in sales, giving weight to percentage of growth and absolute dollar growth between 1999 and 2001.” Additionally, it was named one of the top 500 agencies in the country by Medicare for Excellent Health Care provided, as well as compliance, in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. When not working, Garcia participates in church activities and enjoys playing the guitar, reading, fishing, travel and bird feeding.
