Amassing over 33 years of experience within the field, Dr. Jenkins is a Neurologist that has served in the Michigan area. A renowned expert, Dr. Jenkins is a leading specialist in clinical neurophysiology. Throughout the course of her career, Dr. Jenkins has specialized in the treatment of several conditions including, Epilepsy, Dementia, Bell’s palsy, Parkinson’s disease, Diabetes, Peripheral Neuropathy, Strokes, and Traumatic Brain Injuries. In addition, she is a specialist in procedures including balance testing and the use of electroencephalography and electromyography. Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and with over twenty years of experience in her current role, Dr. Jenkins was inspired to go into the medical field at an early age. “The Brain has always fascinated me,” Dr. Jenkins says. “I originally wanted to be an artist and I was strong in mathematics, chemical engineering, and architecture, but my parents wanted to go into medicine, so I did.” When asked what her advice is to newcomers into the field, she is a firm advocate of using, “medicine to do good.” Throughout her education, Dr. Jenkins attained her Medical degree from the University of JOS-Faculty of Medicine, in Jos Nigeria in 1984. After moving to the United States she then completed an internship at Sinai-Grace Hospital followed by a residency and fellowship at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
