Laura L. English, Ph.D is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Mental Health in recognition of her role as Founder and Clinical Psychologist of Laura English Art & Photography and Wellspring Christian Clinic. Laura English Art & Photography was established in an effort to “give voice” and hope to others by, “creating visual representations with paint and brush.” Offering a wide array of services to her clients, Dr. English offers photographs, bookmarks, paintings and note cards with scripture passages and words to songs upon request. In addition to her creative endeavors, Dr. English is a Clinical Psychologist at Wellspring Christian Clinic. Specializing in the health and wellness of individuals emotionally, spiritually and physically, the mission of Wellspring is to, “provide professional and comprehensive psychiatric care, psychotherapy, counseling services, psychological, vocational, intellectual evaluations, and education that are consistent with Biblical teaching and our Christian faith.” A privately run entity, Wellspring is dedicated to helping families thrive and assisting them in their daily needs. Amassing over twenty-one years of experience in the industry as a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. English is specialized in several facets of psychology and mental health services including, Anxiety and Depression; Burnout in the workplace; Gerontology; Grief and Trauma Recovery; Psychotherapy; Cross-Cultural Psychology; Personality and Career Assessments and Pastoral Counseling. Over the past year, Dr. English established her own art and photography business. In addition to her work, Dr. English serves as an Assistant Professor and Director of Southeastern’s Counseling Program. Utilizing a tender and empathetic approach in handling her clients, Dr. English works with women and adolescent females within the areas of “crisis, trauma recovery, personal empowerment, and grief work.” Throughout the course of her education and training, Dr. English attained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Master of Arts degree in Theology, Clinical Psychology and Cross-Cultural Ministries from Fuller Theological Seminary. In her previous years, Dr. English earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Christian Ministries from Belhaven University. To further her professional development, Dr. English is an affiliate of several organizations including the American Association of Christian Counselors, International Association of Healthcare Professionals, and Altadena Valley Presbyterian Church where she is founder of Worship Arts Ministries. When she is not working, Dr. English enjoys art, writing, playing piano and singing. Dr. English is dedicating this recognition to her husband, Timothy and her sons, Ryan and Brandon.
